Drop off and Pickup
Morning drop off at camp will be from 8:50 – 9:10am, pickup will be at 3:30pm. The camper drop off and pickup area is located on Los Liones Dr. right outside the gate of the Camp Gan Israel campus at 17315 Sunset Blvd. Please turn onto Los Liones Dr., make a legal u-turn at the stop sign and stop outside the gate on Los Liones Blvd. C.G.I. counselors will assist your child into camp. If you would like to walk your child into camp, please park in our parking lot on Sunset Blvd. Campers may only be released to a parent or persons authorized to pick up the camper. Please advise the camp office or your child’s counselor of a different or new pickup person.

Extended Care
For parents who are signing their children up for extended hours, please use the facility’s parking lot on Sunset Blvd. just west of the campus. Extended morning hours are 8:30 – 9:00am and cost $5/day or $20/week. Extended afternoon hours are 3:30 – 5:30pm and cost $10/day or $35/week. Please contact the camp office if you are interested in signing your child up for extended care.

Swimming
Swimming takes place every Monday and every other Wednesday (see calendar for details). The campers will swim at the Maggie Gilbert Aquatic Center at Pali High with lifeguards on duty at all times.

Swimming Lessons
This summer we are offering swimming lessons for Gan Izzy through Westside Aquatics. All lessons are 30 minutes and will be going on simultaneously with the swim time. Please let the camp office know if you are interested in this option and which level your child needs. If you are unsure of your child’s level, we can do a swim test on the first day of camp.

Electronics Policy
Camp Gan Israel does not allow cell phones or electronics at camp. We do not assume any responsibility for these items. A camper can get permission from his/her counselor to use the office phone if necessary.

Specialties
This summer we will be offering a wide range of specialty activities some led by the camp staff and others lead by professional instructors. Sports, Lego and Robbotics, Art Program, Archery, Jewelry Making, Kids in the Kitchen and Shabbat Shows.

Trip Days
Every Tuesday and Thursday Camp Gan Israel will be taking a camp trip to a different exciting location (all of which are listed in the calendar). Please make sure that your child wears their camp T-shirt on all trip days. C.G.I. will provide transportation to and from all trips. The campers DO NOT need to bring any additional funds on any field trips. All trips are included in the camp fees.

Shabbat Program
In C.G.I. Shabbat is celebrated every Friday in a fun and exciting way! Every camper gets to braid and take home their very own Challah to share with their families. We then have a Grand Shabbat Party which includes songs, games and special treats. To end off the week, the entire Gan Izzy will enjoy performances by various entertainers throughout the summer!!

Good Night Gan Izzy Program
When the camp day just isn’t enough! Our dedicated staff are available on certain evenings for visiting their campers to enjoy a small activity or playtime. Your child may choose one night during the summer to have his/her counselor visit his/her home after camp. For twenty minutes, the counselors will read, sing, and play with your child in a completely relaxed, safe environment. This program is completely optional. Look out for a sign up sheet in the newsletter.

Newsletters
Our camp newsletter will be given out every Friday. It will include a detailed schedule for the upcoming week, tell about special events and trips, and will keep all family members up to date with their children’s activities.

Camp T-Shirts
Every child will receive one camp shirt on the first day of camp. Additional shirts are available for a $10.

Looking forward to a summer of fun with your children! If you have any questions or concerns please let us know.
